Course Overview (Benefits) This course helps managers who have previously completed the 5 day Site Manager Safety Training course to: - Develop a better understanding of responsibilities and accountability for site safety - Develop an understanding of health and welfare and current health and safety legislation including risk assessment - Maintain and update current health and safety knowledge - Show evidence of health and safety compliance
Course Requirements A past SMSTS certificate is required to attend the course. Photographic I.D is required (E.g. CSCS Card, Driving License, etc) along with your National Insurance Number.

Course Content/Topics Covered This course helps managers who have previously completed the 5 day Site Manager Safety Training course to: - Develop a better understanding of responsibilities and accountability for site safety - Develop an understanding of health and welfare and current health and safety legislation including risk assessment - Maintain and update current health and safety knowledge - Show evidence of health and safety compliance -Managing Health and Safety -Responsibilities of Supervisors and Managers -Measuring and auditing health and safety performance -Control of hazards and risks Please note - All course attendees need to attend ALL sessions since without full attendance the CITB will not award the SMSTS Construction Site Managers Certificate.

Target Group Delegates who have previously attended the 5 day SMSTS training course, the course must be attended before the expiry date of the original certificate.
Assessment and Certification This course is delivered by means of case studies, classroom discussion, and group work and individual/group presentations. You will be continuously assessed and required to successfully complete a multiple-choice test. Upon successfully completing the course you will be awarded a CITB Certification/CS Skills.
