Course Overview (Benefits) This course enables delegates to competently enter, work in and exit from confined space areas. Including chamber, manholes, wet well, multi-landing or any vertical confined space. The aim of this course is to reduced risk of serious injuries and death. Alliance learning puts the safety of its customers and employees as its highest priority. Our COVID-19 risk assessment prohibits the sharing of any PPE.
Course Requirements Candidates must bring their own PPE for the practical element of the course including hard hat, safety footwear, gloves and appropriate workwear for confined space entry such as safety overalls. Candidates must be fit and healthy enough to carry out the practical element of the course. All delegates intending to use escape breathing apparatus with a close fitting face mask will need to be clean shaven ( any beard , stubble, thick sideburns, long hair or moustache in the region where a face mask is intended to seal the face will cause leakage ). If in doubt please contact us prior to the course. Alliance learning puts the safety of its customers and employees as its highest priority. Our COVID-19 risk assessment prohibits the sharing of any PPE. IT IS MANDATORY OWN PPE MUST BE PROVIDED INCLUDING HARNESSES ANYONE ATTENDING A COURSE WITHOUT RELEVANT PPE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO ATTEND AND FULL PAYMENT WILL BE APPLIED.

The aim of this course: - Reduced risk of serious injuries and death - Equipment required to enter a confined spaces - The purpose and use of gas detection equipment - The purpose and use of escape breathing apparatus - The use of safety harnesses - The purpose and use of tripods and man riding winches - Personal protective equipment and hygiene - Examination, testing and maintenance of equipment - Ventilation and the avoidance of unsafe atmospheres - Communication and entry procedures - Practical exercise in procedures - Top Man (Alliance Learning Certificate only)
Course Duration (days): 2.0
Target Group This course is for personnel that have never received any formal confined space training.
Assessment and Certification Delegates will be assessed by written question paper and practical observation, upon successful completion delegates will be awarded with a Alliance Learning certificate which is currently valid for 3 years.
Method of Delivery: This training is classroom based with practical activity.
