Achieving Disability Confident Level 3 'Leader' Status
We’re proud to share some exciting news—this week, Alliance Learning has been awarded the Level 3 ‘Leader’ status under the UK Government’s Disability Confident initiative.
This is the highest level an employer can achieve within the scheme and represents a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to inclusion—particularly in supporting our employees and apprentices.
Achieving this recognition didn’t happen overnight. The team has worked closely with The Growth Company to evidence the steps we’ve taken to build a truly inclusive environment. Through this process, we demonstrated that we:
- Operate at a high leadership standard in supporting individuals with learning difficulties and/or disabilities into the workplace
- Actively report on disability, mental health, and wellbeing
- Champion inclusion by encouraging other local businesses to become Disability Confident
- Have been externally validated by an independent body
- Make meaningful and reasonable adjustments to support both staff and apprentices
This achievement reflects not just compliance, but a genuine commitment to creating opportunities and removing barriers. Inclusion is not a tick-box exercise for us—it’s embedded in how we support people to grow, develop, and succeed.
Reaching Level 3 status also opens up new opportunities. We are now in a position to support other providers on their own journey toward achieving Disability Confident Leader status. Being able to share our knowledge and experience is an exciting step forward, strengthening our reputation as advocates for inclusion within the education and training sector.
This recognition is valid for three years, after which we will be reassessed to ensure we continue to meet and exceed the required standards. We see this not as a finish line, but as motivation to keep improving and leading by example.
We’re incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to continuing our work in making the workplace more inclusive for everyone.
