Job Description:
This is a great opportunity to kick-start your career within childcare. This established nursery based in Bolton are looking to expand by hiring an Apprentice Nursery Assistant. Working and training here as an Apprentice Nursery Assistant your role will include: • To gain experience of supporting the care, learning and development of children from the ages of 0-5 • To support staff to set up challenging and stimulating activities • To support staff to supervise children and ensure they are safe at all times. • To keep up to date with childcare training • To attend all staff meetings and training days • To gain knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage • To interact with children in a friendly and polite manner • To be welcoming to all visitors to the nursery • To adhere to all the nursery’s policies and procedures • To be punctual and possess an excellent attendance record • To demonstrate a strong commitment to learn • To have good team working skills but also the ability to show initiative • To contribute to the cleanliness of the nursery and maintain a tidy room • To have experience of looking after young children Alongside this you will complete a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship, gaining the hands-on skills and knowledge to tie in with the work experience you are gaining from the company. Progression on to Level 3 available for the right candidate. |
