This course will clarify the requirements of the new regulations and help construction companies to continue comply with the law. There have been significant changes to the CDM regulations. The requirement for a CDM co-ordinator has gone and a new appointment of Principal Designer must be made. There are new requirements on Companies working on domestic properties, meaning hundreds of small/medium sized companies will be affected.

• Demonstrate knowledge of the law in relation to Health and Safety and CDM regulations.
• Understand the duties of the main duty holders e.g. client, Designer, Principal Designers, Principal Contractor, Contractors etc.
• Understand the need for, and the content of:
• Pre – tender Health and Safety information
• Construction Health and Safety plan
• Demonstrate knowledge of the competency requirements of duty holders
• Have knowledge of the contents of the Health and Safety file and its use
• Understand how CDM fits into non-traditional procurement methods i.e. P.F.1. P.P.P
•Update on Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
