Catering Assistant x 1 post

We are currently recruiting for a Catering Assistant to assist the Catering Supervisor with the preparation and service of food for our customers, learners and staff at our Horwich centre. The candidate must provide a high standard of customer service and be presentable with a high standard of personal hygiene.If candidates do not already hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, they must be willing to complete a short basic food hygiene course.

Previous experience of a similar role would be an advantage but not essential, must have good time management skills and be flexible for holiday and sickness cover.

Monday – Thursday – 11.00am – 2.30pm

Friday – 9.00am – 1.00pm

18 hours per week

Functional Skills Officer - English x1 post

We are currently recruiting for an (English) Functional Skills Officer based at our head office in Horwich, Bolton. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering functional skills support in English to learners at Entry Level 3, Level 1 & Level 2. You will also be responsible for the classroom delivery of Functional Skills tuition to prepare candidates for end tests / examinations as well as support learners with Skills for Life needs as identified at initial assessment / diagnostic adhering to SFA contract requirements in relation to ALN / ASN identification and support.

Must hold a Teaching qualification (PGCE or Cert Ed) as well as a minimum level 4 in Basic Skills –English.

Monday – Friday – 36.5 hours

This post does include some out of hours work, a car driver is essential.

Electrical LDO/Assessor - Electrical x1 post

We are currently seeking a Learning and Development Officer/Assessor in Electrical Maintenance. This post will be based at our Horwich site but will cover a wide range of the Greater Manchester area. The successful candidate will be responsible for allocated learners to ensure retention, progression and achievement of frameworks. The ideal candidate will hold an NVQ Level 3/4 in apporopriate occupational area and have previous years' experience using occupational skills on completion of training. They must also hold TAQA/IQA qualifications or equivalent as well as PTTLS.

Tutor/Instructor/Assessor (Multi-Skilled Electrical/Mechanical)

We are always seeking Multi Skilled Engineering Tutors to work within our busy Engineering department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivery of both training including the following subject areas:

- Health & Safety
- Engineering Principles
- Electrical and Electronic principles
- Mechatronics/PLC
- Wiring and Testing
- Maintaining electrical equipment and systems
- Electronics

Experience in Mechanical Engineering is desirable, but not essential. Must hold an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in the appropriate occupational area and have relevant industry experience. Must also work towards or be willing to work towards teaching and assessing qualification such as A1/TAQA Assessor. Ideally, candidates will have previous experience in the delivery of City & Guilds or BTEC qualifications.
