Train to Gain Funding

What is Train to Gain?
Train to Gain is a Government funded initiative which aims to help businesses compete effectively and boost businesses productivity by assisting them in providing the necessary employee training. Alliance Learning is a Bolton based Train to Gain Training Provider (with additional centres in Wigan and Bury), offering quality, affordable training for employers and their employees throughout the North West.
Alliance Learning can help businesses:
• Identify skill needs
• Pinpoint the right training
• Agree a tailored training package
• Find available funding
• Review the progress
Funded Programmes
Your business may be eligible for Train to Gain funding to help employees gain their first full Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
Alternatively if you are employed and are looking to undertake an NVQ, you and your employer may be eligible for Train to Gain funding.
Other funded programmes which we can provide assistance with include Skills for Life first numeracy and literacy qualifications, Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships (Apprenticeships now available to everyone aged 16+).

Eligibility:
Train to Gain funding requirements are subject to eligibility and availability, which includes the following criterion:
• The individual must be employed by an employer participating in Train to Gain.
• Individuals that are self employed are also eligible.
• Learners must be aged 19+ on the start date of the programme. Although learners aged 19-25 will be expected to go through the appropriate Apprenticeship programme if available.
• Work permit holders are not eligible.
• Learners must be in paid employment
• Employers must be located in Greater Manchester, Lancashire or Cheshire
• Train to gain supports learners towards their first full level 2, level 3 and Skills for Life qualification. Learners that already have a full level 2 or 3 qualification are not eligible.
