Employability Skills Programme
We are now able to deliver the new Government employability initiative, the Employability Skills Programme, which is a nationwide campaign aimed at getting people back into work. The programme will be offered at our two learndirect centres in Horwich and Leigh.
The Employability Skills programme is a joint initiative developed by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS), Jobcentre Plus and the Learning and Skills Council (LSC).
The programme is aimed at meeting the needs of people that may be facing redundancy and need help with managing the recruitment process as well as Jobcentre Plus customers.
Training covers four modules:
• Employability Basics
• Communication Skills
• Finding that Job
• Interview Techniques
Participants will be able to improve their basic skills of literacy, numeracy and language skills to help them find sustainable employment and progress at work through further training. The Employability Skills Programme can even lead to an Employability Award based on the skills and attitudes employers look for when recruiting.
The programme is free for people aged 19+ in the Bolton & Wigan areas.
For further information on the Employability Skills Programme call 0845 257 5342 or email: info@alliancelearning.com.
