Pedestrian Fork Lift Truck Training Course available in the North West

Pedestrian Fork Lift Truck (RTITB)

Accrediting Body:
The RTITB is an independent and impartial training accreditation body working extensively in the road haulage and distribution industry. When organisations purchase RTITB accredited or approved training they can be assured that it has been independently monitored and that it will meet specified objectives.
The code of practice (Rider Operated Lift Trucks) imposes a duty on all employers to ensure that operators have been trained to the standards set out in the code of practice (L117). Many other types of trucks exist that are operated by pedestrians and move goods at floor level from A to B. These trucks do not come under the code of practice, as they are not seen as rider operated lift trucks but it must be seen that the employer provides adequate training.
Alliance Learning offer the following training to assist employers in meeting the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work act, and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment regulations. The accredited controlling body (RTITB) recommends the following training periods.
Electric pedestrian operated pallet truck working at low level, Novice: 22 hrs/3 days. Experienced operator with no certification: Dependent on experience.
Electric pedestrian operated pallet truck working at eye level, Novice: 26 hrs/3.5 days. Experienced operator with no certification: Dependent on experience.
Electric pedestrian operated pallet truck working at high level, Novice: 30 hrs/4 days. Experienced operator with no certification: Dependent on experience.
Employees should note that the times quoted are national industry standard and any training offered reducing the times would not receive bonafide accreditation. Experienced operators may accomplish a successful outcome with reduced time periods dependent on the extent of their experience. Operators who require specific training to cover dedicated truck operations may have reduced training times. Alliance will be pleased to assist any employer with an assessment of training requirements without any obligation. We can also offer in-house restricted licenses – Alliance Learning Accredited. All courses are based upon 3 candidates attending – if this number is reduced then the time is reduced. Price:
