Awarding Body:

PASMA - Prefabricated Access Suppliers & Manufacturers Association. The PASMA operator’s Code of Practice is the definitive source of best practice for users of prefabricated towers manufactured in alloy or fibreglass, approved to BS1139 Part 3 1994 (HD1004).

Course Aim:

To give the attendees knowledge of relevant Regulations, Codes of Practice and good safe working practices along with hands-on practical skills to enable them to safely erect, move, alter use, dismantle and inspect mobile tower scaffolding.

Duration:

1 Day.

Target Group:

All those operatives who erect, move, alter, use, dismantle or inspect mobile tower scaffolding or those who supervise or manage such operatives.

• Types of tower scaffolding
• Regulations and Codes of Practice
• Stability of towers
• Use of outriggers and stabilisers
• Course of accidents associated with towers
• Safe use of towers
• Loading on towers
• Understanding manufacturers instructions
• Practical erection, movement and dismantle of tower scaffold
• Practical test
• Knowledge test
• Course review and evaluation
