To enable managers/supervisors to operate a successful health & safety policy within their own areas of responsibility.

The course is designed for all supervisors/managers who have a responsibility for health and safety.

• HSWA 1974 and Regulations and Fire Precautions Act 1971
• Levels of statutory duty and legal obligations
• General legal background
• Consultation with employees duties
• Recording and reporting of injuries
• Importance of creating a safety culture
• Definition of accident and incident
• Simple accident theory
• Methods for managing safety in the workplace
• Risk assessment procedures
• Practical accident prevention in own workplace
• Handling and lifting techniques
• Reacting to & coping with accidents at work
• Approved Codes of Practice and Guidance

 

Price:

£320 per person.

This course is also available for delivery on customer's premises (subject to site facilities and minimum numbers) - price on application.
