ILM Award in Team Leading Course
Awarding Body:
The Institute of Leadership & Management (‘ILM’) is the premier awarding body for management training, which aims to build leadership and management at the individual, team and organisational levels.
Course Aim:
To give practicing or potential team and cell leaders the foundation for their formal development in this role by developing basic team leading skills and assisting participants in gaining the basic knowledge required at this level.
Duration:
1 day per week over 5 weeks
Target Group:
For practicing, aspiring or experienced Team Leaders with no formal training.
Course Content:
Businesses can custom build a bespoke course, choosing units that meet the specific needs of their leadership and
management teams.
The qualification requires mandatory units to be completed.
Mandatory Units:
• Developing Yourself as a Team Leader
Additional Units Can Include:
• Motivating the Team to Work
• Workplace Communication
• Managing Yourself
A full range of optional units are available upon request.
At the end of the course delegates will:
Have a good understanding of the team leader role
Know how to motivate and gain the best from their teams
Have practical skills and knowledge they can quickly transfer to the workplace
Gain a nationally recognised award
