Fabrication & Welding NVQ Level 2 & 3

Awarding Body:
EMTA Awards Limited (EAL) is a leading UK awarding body for National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and their Scottish equivalents (SVQs).
Duration:
Approximately 12 months per qualification.
Target Group:
Employees that are seeking recognition of their competence in one or more of a wide range of activities. The course offers maximum flexibility to meet the needs of semi-skilled and skilled workers engaged in fabrication and welding engineering.
Course Content:
NVQ level 2: 4-7 units dependent on the pathway chosen; one of the following options is available;
Pathway Options:
• Manual Welding
• Welding Machine Operating
• Brazing and/or Soldering
• Plastic Welding
• Sheet Metalwork (3mm or less)
• Plate worker (3mm upwards)
• Structural Steelwork
• Pipe work Fabrication
• Plastic Welding
NVQ Level 3: 4-9 units dependent on the pathway chosen; one of the following options is available;
Pathway Options:
• Welding Machine Setting & Operating
• Sheet Metal Working (3mm or less)
• Plate working (3mm upwards)
• Structural Steelwork
• Pipe and Tube Fabrication
• Composite Fabrication
Visits:
Delegates will receive approximately 8-10 visits from an in-house assessor.
Price:
Level 2 & 3 may be available FREE OF CHARGE through the Government's Train to Gain initiative, subject to availability and eligibility (contact us for details).
