Children's Care Learning and Development NVQ Level 2 & 3

NVQ Level 2 & 3.
Duration:
Approximately 12 months per qualification.
Target Group:
This is intended for personnel working in the nursery environment.Our Alliance Learning tutors will be able to advise on the most appropriate level.
Course Content:
NVQ Level 2: 10 Units (8 Mandatory, 2 optional).
Mandatory Units:
• Support children’s physical development needs
• Support children’s social and emotional development
• Implement planned activities for the development oflanguage & communication skills
• Maintain an attractive, stimulating and reassuring environment for children
• Maintain the safety and security of children
• Contribute to the achievement of organisational requirements
• Relate to parents
• Implement planned activities for sensory and intellectual development
2 Optional Units - you choose, with guidance if needed, 2 units that are suitable for the environment you work in.
NVQ Level 3: 11 Mandatory Units.
• Provide for children’s physical needs
• Promote the physical development of children
• Promote children’s social and emotional development
• Provide a framework for the management of behaviour
• Promote children’s sensory and intellectual development
• Promote children’s language and communication development
• Contribute to the protection of children from abuse
• Observe and access the development and behaviour of children
• Plan, implement and evaluate learning activities and experiences
• Establish and maintain relationships with parents
• Plan and equip environments for children
Visits:
You will receive approximately 8-10 visits. These may vary depending on whether an in-house assessor is available or not.
