Heating Gases Safety Workshop
Oxygen, Acetylene, Hydrogen, Propane - Heating & Welding Systems
Course Aim:
This course is designed to enable employees to understand the dangers involved with using the above equipment and the employer to complete his/her duties in ensuring the equipment that’s used is safe and maintained as the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). The British Compresses Gas Association (BCGA) has introduced a code of practice (CP9) to help the employer fulfil their duties with regard to maintenance and inspections. This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety Executive.
Duration:
Half Day.
Course Content:
• Legislation
• Employers/employees duties, codes of practice (CP9)
• Gas Equipment
• Set up bottle storage and movement, colour codes, regulators, flashback arrestors types and function, pipes types, lengths, colours, back-feed valve, blowtorch, tips and nozzles
• Problem solving
• Running problems, setting up, snap out and backfire problems and remedies.
• Inspection procedures
• Daily and annual inspection frequency procedures, maintained documents.
• Course review and evaluation
The course should enable participants to understand their duties when using the equipment and teamleaders/supervisors/managers to satisfy their duties under current regulations.
Price:
£550.00 per half day on site.
