How long is an Apprenticeship?

A level 2 Apprenticeship takes between 12-18 months. A level 3 takes between 18-24 months.

How often do I have to attend an Alliance Learning training centre?

Attendance at a training centre is normally 1 day per week over 1 year for the technical certificate, and some time will be allocated to key skills during your day at the centre.

Can I do an Apprenticeship if I am already working?

Yes, if your employer agrees. Alliance Learning will help you approach your employer.

What are the costs?

There are no costs to the learner although an employer contribution will be required - the amount of this contribution will depend upon the occupational area you undertake.

Is there an age restriction?

Alliance Learning can now offer Apprenticeships to anyone over the age of 16.

How much will I earn?

Your employer will pay you a regular wage; the amount will depend on the industry and individual employer.

What qualifications do I need?

Apprenticeships are suitable for students who have succeeded at GCSE level and also for others who may have found academic work difficult, but have the practical ability. All learners will be assessed and advised as to the most appropriate programme to them.
